Identified as Muhammad Abd al-Aziz Abu Zubaida, he was described as the head of the “Palestine District” of ISIS and was eliminated during an operation in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.

According to official statements from the IDF, Abu Zubaida played a pivotal role in coordinating ISIS activities across multiple regions—including Gaza, Judea and Samaria (the West Bank), and the Sinai Peninsula.
