NAF Airstrikes in Borno Destroy Insurgent Stronghold, Kill Scores of Terrorists

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has dealt a significant blow to terrorist operations in Borno State. In a precision airstrike conducted under Operation HADIN KAI, dozens of insurgents were killed and a key stronghold was obliterated.
Intelligence Leads to Targeted Strike
According to a statement from Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information, surveillance picked up unusual activity in the Gezuwa area specifically Bula Madibale. Around 45 terrorists were seen converging on the location using motorcycles and bicycles, with insurgent flags raised, marking the site as a gathering point.
The Strike and Its Impact
At about 10:50 a.m. on September 17, the Air Force launched precise strikes on the rallying point. Assets used by the terrorists including the flagged structure and other militant infrastructure were destroyed during the operation. The attack reportedly eliminated many insurgents who had assembled there.
This airstrike is part of NAF’s wider efforts to restrict terrorists from regrouping, moving freely, or launching attacks on communities. In his message, Ejodame emphasized the commitment of the Armed Forces to restoring stability in Nigeria’s Northeast region.
